Which Ortho Pedal™ is Right for You?
Recreation Series Standard Model
This model fits cranks from 5/8" wide to 1-1/8" wide. This typically applies to steel cranks and "older style" aluminum cranks.
Recreation Series Wide Model
This model fits cranks over 1-1/8" wide to 1-3/4" wide. This typically applies to "new style" aluminum cranks.
Determine Which Size You Will Need
Measure width of pedal threads by removing the pedal and placing wrench over pedal threads. It will fit 1/2" wrench or 9/16" wrench. This will determine the Ortho Pedal® bolts that will fit your bike.
Typically 1/2" used on older steel cranks and some exercise bikes.
Typically 9/16" (the most common) used on most aluminum cranks.
(Pedal not included. You will need to purchase a 9/16 pedal in order to accommodate the Ortho Pedal bolt, measuring 1/2”.)
